LIL GIGGLERS PLAYGROUPS

We are so pleased to announce Wings of Power playgroups are in three locations for your convenience : 

Grand beach- Wayside church

When: Mondays 10-12pm

Hollow Water- Head start

When: Tuesdays 10-12pm

Pine Falls- Wings of Power

When: Fridays 10-12pm

Friday at Wings of Power from 10:00am-12:00pm.  This free drop-in playgroup will allow children to play with a variety of different activities, learn new rhymes & songs, make crafts, have a healthy snack and meet new friends. CHILDRENS PROGRAMS (ages 8 and up)

MINI CHEFS

Mini Chefs was created to inspire kids ages 8-12 to learn the importance of cooking. Each week, kids have the opportunity to prepare, cook and eat a nutritional meal by following a recipe. Sessions are also filled with fun and engaging activities. This program is 6-8 weeks and it is held at Powerview School in the Home Ec. Room.  

Thanks to a CDPI Grant, this program is free for all children. Registration is required.

BABYSITTING COURSE

Every year, Edge Water Recreation facilitates a babysitting course for Grade 6 boys and girls. The babysitting course teaches basic and responsible babysitting skills, fire safety, shaken baby syndrome, how to handle an emergency, change diapers, food preparation and all the information you will ever need to know for babysitting.

MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS IN TOUCH

This program allows Mothers and Daughters to spend quality time together, build a stronger relationship and get to know one another better. 

iscussions, Mothers and their daughters will learn about effective communication, problem solving, handling peer pressure and growing up. The program gives you a chance to explore values, trust, feelings, body image, self esteem, puberty and relationships.

Wings of Power runs this program once a year with a maximum of 6 mother/daughter pairs. This program is focuses on girls ages 9-11 years old.
