Health Corner

Partnered with the IERHA and the FASD North Eastman Coalition, a variety of information is available to everyone. From parenting, child rearing, FASD, autism, and pregnancy to cancer care, arthritis and mental health, there is free information available during regular business hours.

Digital Essential Skills in the Workplace

Wings of Power will be partnering with Community Futures Winnipeg River to develop a training model that will assist small to medium sized enterprises to develop digital skills of employees in the workplace.  This would be utilized for employees that

  • have not graduated
  • have graduated a number of years ago
  • have little to no experience with technology

and that face challenges as a result.  Digital technology is the ability to use information and communication technology such as smart phones, cash registers, word processing software, send emails and create spreadsheets (to name a few)

Parenting Programs

These programs are offered in group and individual sessions with the goal of promoting literacy, nutrition, preparing toddlers for school readiness, fostering parent/child relationships and much more.  These include but are not limited to: Triple P (Positive Parenting Program), Bookmates, Wiggle Giggle Munch)

CAP Site ~ Computer Access Program

Wings of Power is committed to provide computer/internet access to all. Our three CAP sites are available during regular business hours for employment searches, resume building, research, etc. Our computers contain resume templates and have access to printers. All resume, educational and government related copies and faxes are free of charge.  We also offer black/white and color copying services for a fee.  Call for prices

Drop In - The Coffee is Always On

People are always welcome to drop in to meet staff, browse through our Thrift Store, do a craft, read a book with their child and more.  Enjoy a free cup of coffee while visiting our safe, warm and friendly environment. Our Outreach Worker is also available to make link to other resources and offer support when needed.
