BREAKFAST FOR LEARNING
This program is provided at the École Powerview School and is a free service to all students attending the school. Each day we supply fresh milk, cereal and fruit. A healthy breakfast each day has shown to increase learning and is the most important meal of the day. Teachers report increased concentration, improved grades and less behaviour issues.
The program is rolled out in the school with students who greatly benefit from the implementation of life skills, job training, etc.
This program is largely funded by the Manitoba Nutrition Council and the Breakfast Club of Canada. We are also supported by local businesses and donations.
